    UFG's Corporate Marketing department is currently looking for a qualified college student to assist with the corporate communications at our corporate headquarters in Cedar Rapids, IA.

     

    The schedule is from 8:00AM – 4:30PM Monday - Friday during the summer months of 2019.

    Responsibilities

    Summer projects could include one or more of the following:

    • Developing and executing marketing plans
    • Developing plans to increase brand penetration and advertising projects
    • Research influencer, media, and brand partnerships
    • Create and maintain reports tracking marketing activity performance
    • Perform social listening and make recommendations for social content, themes, and campaigns
    • Research and help evaluate marketing event opportunities
    • Provide administrative support to management when required
    • Numerous opportunities to interact with all parts of the organization, including presenting to senior management

    Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism or related field
    • Knowledge of social media channels
    • Excellent writing and editing skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling content
    • Careful attention to detail
    • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
