    UFG Insurance is seeking an intern to provide support to our corporate HR team by performing a variety of human resource duties and assisting with special projects.


    The schedule is from 8:00AM – 4:30PM Monday - Friday during the summer months of 2019.



    Summer projects could include one or more of the following:

    • Assist with compensation market analysis project.
    • Assist with skills and competency analysis project. 
    • Conduct job description audit to identify roles that are inactive properly archive. 
    • Assist with the review and revisions of all job descriptions into standardized template. 
    • Conduct I-9 audit and dispose forms beyond required retention requirements.
    • Develop documentation for HR systems (ATS, HRIS) and procedural documentation for HR processes. 
    • Assist with the implementation of HR content and collaboration software.
    • Assist with maintaining employees records and personnel files.
    • Research and develop content for monthly benefit newsletter.
    • Review monthly benefit substantiation. 
    • Assist with the development of HIPPA policies and procedures.
    • Assist with corporate recruiting and interviewing



    • The UFG Internship Program is intended for students currently enrolled in college with a focus in Human Resources.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to provide quality customer service.
    • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Ability to quickly learn human resources applications (HRIS, ATS, document managment, etc.).
