    The Claims Automation Analyst’s primary focus is to coordinate efforts and programs between Claims, IS and all other affected departments including the regional offices.  Their goal is to ensure efficient day-to-day reliability and maintenance of the claim system and act as a resource to other claims personnel concerning the automated systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Primary point of contact for regions and other departments regarding claims system.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Claims Automation Systems, Document Management System, Intranet and Web
    • Conduct acceptance testing of system/projects.
    • Thoroughly evaluate all enhancement requests.
    • Monitor the Orphan List/Unassigned Tasks within the Imaging system for mail not processed correctly, which may include indexed mail.
    • Assist vendors with questions, problems. Log and follow up on reported problems
    • Review error reports for problems, identify and correct. Monitor other reports for possible errors
    • Continually search for better ways to do things, especially regarding workflow and utilizing new technologies.

    Qualifications

    • Two year college degree or equivalent work experience with active participation in insurance/formal education
    • 3+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in claims automation.
    • 2+ years of experience working with claims automation projects.
    • Insurance coursework such as the General Insurance Program (INS) is preferred.
    • Associate in Information Technology (AIT) is preferred.
    • Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred
    • Experience working with PC’s and Microsoft Windows.
    • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
    • Understanding of internet technology and HTML to create web pages.
    • Ability to work with in a team and individually.
    • Effective problem solving and reasoning skills
    • Ability to work under deadlines.
    • Ability to organize, schedule and follow up on multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Detail oriented and must be able to document procedures and script fixes.

    • Excellent phone and customer service skills.
