    UFG is looking to add a Receptionist to our Office Services department. The hours for this position are 10:00AM-6:30PM CST.


    The Receptionist will serve as the initial contact for team members and visitors, providing assistance and direction through the central switchboard and in person.


    • Answer switchboard in prompt and courteous manner directing calls to proper team members

    • Answer each phone call with positive enthusiasm and willingness to help

    • Understand the structure of activities and communicate this by referring customers and visitors to the appropriate individual and/or department

    • Greet visitors in a courteous manner, ensure visitor log book properly filled out, visitor badge displayed correctly, contact the appropriate team member to escort during their visit

    • Support Facilities Management & Office Services with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned

    • Assist in maintaining security, visitor sign in, creating badges, verifying access to buildings

    • Maintain the security of confidential information and documents

    • Train other individuals as relief receptionists

    • Make general and emergency announcements as needed


    • High School diploma

    • 3  years office clerical experience which includes lobby reception and switchboard operation.

      • Preferred prior experience with security card access system

    • Basic skills entering data into, and making basic modifications to, Excel Spreadsheets.

    • Basic use of e-mail

    • Introductory competency level using Microsoft Office including Outlook

    • Demonstrated competencies in:

      • Organizing work and setting priorities

      • Providing excellent customer service

      • Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and security regarding corporate information

    • Effective oral and written communication skills

    • Ability to:

      • Perform work with a high level of detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

      • Work well independently and in a team environment

      • Determine logical solutions to problems

      • Understand and adhere to assigned policies and procedures

      • Understand and follow written and oral instructions
