In this key supporting role, you will make a big impact by providing administrative and customer service support to the Surety Claims & Underwriting Teams. Your primary goal is to produce high quality technical assistance to our principals, claimants, agents and coworkers; and demonstrate what it means to provide the best in customer service.   The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST. 

Responsibilities

  • Promote excellent service and growth.
  • Workflow organization, team communication, facilitating and attend meetings.
  • Keep management & co-workers informed of procedure issues and progress.
  • Assist the claims representatives in information gathering and correspondence with the agents and claimants.
  • Documentation, organization & maintenance of ImageRight claim files
  • Receive and forward phone messages to co-workers. Answer routine questions.
  • Processing and distributing of daily incoming mail/fax tasks per guidelines.
  • Assist Surety Team with daily status tasks, bond renewals and other underwriting tasks as time allows
  • Special projects
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance.

Qualifications

 

Must have:

  • A High School Diploma
  • Good organizational and decision making skills
  • Possess strong analytical and math skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Accurate computer and typing skills are essential.
  • Respond and adapt quickly to change and multiple priorities 
  • Be able to work within a team environment, exhibit cooperation, and have strong communication skills
  • Proven skills in providing quality customer service and promote a positive and professional image in and outside the Company 
  • Committed to continuing education; surety classes and course work (AFSB 151, 152, 153), and other internal training classes and course work. Additional classes may be required.

Preferred to have:

  • Two or four-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in the surety or insurance industry
