UFG is looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our growing organization. This position will play a critical role in the review, design, development and modification of our automated testing environment. This position requires a critical thinker with strong technical skills who can thrive in a fast paced environment.



  • Assist the quality assurance team in ensuring that software quality is maintained throughout the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Work closely with the QA Manager to define automation strategy and processes. Design and develop automated testing over multi-tiered platforms.
  • Responsible for creation, execution and maintenance of automated scripts.
  • Testing the software to ensure all requirements are thoroughly tested and that current functionality is not compromised.
  • Minimize the chance of software being implemented with unknown bugs.




  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Quality Assurance, Software Testing.
  • P&C Insurance experience desirable.
  • Certified or working towards an ISTQB – Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in building multi-tier test frameworks and continuous integration is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of various test automation tools and open-source frameworks
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design and debugging skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many disciplines and with varying degrees of business and technical experience
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines
  • Basic skills in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
