The Enterprise Architect plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company’s technology strategy, processes, and information technology assets. They will work with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build a holistic view of the organization’s strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets.
The role of the architect is to take this knowledge and ensure that the business and IT are in alignment and that the IT infrastructure (hardware and software) support business objectives. They will evaluate, recommend, and purchase of technology assets that support the business operation, work with development and infrastructure staff to implement and integrate new and emerging technology into the operation and assist with managing technology vendor relationships and negotiate purchases.
