United Fire Group is seeking a Human Resources Administrator for our Denver office. The HR Administrator is responsible for full-cycle recruiting for all positions in the Denver regional office, providing guidance and counseling to management and employees, conducting new hire orientation, maintaining compliance with federal and state laws. This position is also responsible for oversight of building maintenance and organizing company events such as the annual employee recognition dinner. This position will have a dual reporting relationship to corporate human resources and the regional branch manager.  UFG is open to either a full-time or part-time schedule.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct recruitment and sourcing of non-exempt and exempt positions.
  • Assist in the development process to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce.
  • Provide guidance and counsel to management staff and employees regarding employee relations issues, policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and facilitate appropriate intervention and referrals regarding employee or applicant appeals and grievances.
  • Conduct new employee orientation, benefit enrollment, training on company policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the exit interview processes.
  • File and manage the workers compensation process for the branch office.
  • Develop and organize company sponsored events such as holiday parties, flu shot clinics, employee recognition dinners, etc.
  • Maintain oversight of building and maintenance issues with contactors and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

 

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of human resources experience, including three years of recruiting experience is required.
  • PHR or SPHR is preferred.
